Bismarck Bucks fall to Iowa Barnstormers

The Bucks strike first with a field goal from Nick Dorka

Saturday, June 25th the Bismarck Bucks battled the Iowa Barnstormers for the second time this season.
 
The Bucks fought until the end, putting up a tough 30-49 loss against the Iowa Barnstormers at the Bismarck Event Center. QB Giovanni Sanders put on a strong performance against the Barnstormers passing for 102 yards and rushing for two touchdowns.
 
The Bucks scored first with a field goal by Nick Dorka making it a 3-point lead to start the game. The Barnstormers answered back with a passing touchdown in the bottom of the first. The Bucks answered back with a quick pass to Jerome Gross lll for 6, making it a 9-7 lead. Bucks regain the lead in the second quarter when WR Edgar Allen Poe Jr. flipped his way into the end zone giving the Bucks a 16-13 lead.
 
The Barnstormers respond with a rushing touchdown to regain the lead. The Bucks didn't let up as they scored again in the 4th quarter. Giovanni Sanders drove his way into the end zone giving the team their last score of the night 30-49.
 
Despite the score, the Bucks fought back until the clock hit 0:00. Next up, they hit the road to face the Arizona Wranglers.
